Thin Lizzy- I got to meet Phil Lynott.

Van Halen- The very 1st Rock I saw Live!

SexPistols - Why did I not get into this band sooner or see them live sooner?

Tyla's Leaving Assembly during his final day at Primary School - 22nd July 2005. Posted by Picasa
We went to see my son and his class for the leaving assembly. Tyla had a few lines to say and I caught it all on video (one day I'll work out how to post small vids on here). He was dressed in the hockey gear which he borrowed from my friend,Iain's son. A couple of the pics are from the dress rehearsal the night before. Tyla was in the gear for about an hour and was very hot and uncomfortable in it. Panee and Siam also went and I was surprised Siam sat through it. For me a little sad today seeing Tyla leave school, although we can now look forward to the prospect of a new school and a new way of life.

More Crash Update

I returned to work on Tuesday this week which was probably still a little premature, as my neck was still hurting. Panee is still off work and went back to the doctor's yesterday (Wednesday) to get a sick note and some painkillers. The doctor prescribed some painkillers and some cream to massage into her neck and hip. She has been signed off work until next Wednesday.
My neck has been acking a bit but today after doing stockcheck at work, it has been acking a lot.
I need to return to the doctor's to get the results from my x-ray from last week. Panee's results came back and there was nothing found to be wrong.

Crash Update

Well yesterday things were looking up for me as I was feeling really a lot better than earlier in the week and rang work to say I would be in. I thought the weekend would see me alright as the neck seemed to be well on it's way to recovery. But this morning I woke up with an acking feeling in my neck which then became a sharp pain in the neck as I rose to get out of bed. I then sprang back down into bed with the sharp pain. The day didn't go too well either with the neck playing up off and on all day. We walked into town today as I didn't feel up to driving and walked to my Mum's house from town, as I didn't want to go home to get the car, only to find I was unable to drive it because of the pain in my neck. The walking probably didn't help Panee's injury to her hip too much either as by the end of the afternoon's walking her hip was playing her up.
The car is due to be repaired on the 25th of this month so hopefully that's one thing out of the way, although the insurance companies have still to decide where the blame lies.
I spoke with our solicitor yesterday also and I need to compile a list of things that have affected us since the crash.
On the morning before the crash I went out and bought myself a push bike so I could go out with my son and spend some quality time together. I've not been able to use it since purchasing it.

I was suppose to go to purchase some paving slabs in the afternoon of the crash so I could lay the slabs and put down grass seed to finish off my back garden so it would become accident free for our daughter. But I was unable to put slabs in the car , lift them or dig the area to lay them.

Also although the garden is small, the grass has needed cutting and we have been unable to do this with the injuries we have sustained.

The smash in the rear of the car has meant that the boot of the car has become unusable and has meant that if we want to leave anything in the car, it has had to be left on show. If we go shopping it has had to go on the back seat and fortunatley my eldest son has not been with us when doing this as there would be no room for him.

Also due to having no boot to use we cannot take the pushchair with us, My mother has not been able to take her grandaughter out when it has been necessary, as we have not been able to give her the pushchair.

I have also not been able to take my Mother who is 63 to the coach station with her luggage as was planned, nor pick her up either.

My wife Panee has not been able to go on her exercise bike at home either as she has had pain from her hip injury. In so doing she has gained the weight that she had lost during the weeks previous.

Panee has not been to work for the last week and looks as though she could be off for another week. She does not get sick pay so she is losing money all the time she is off.

Tyla's practice run for new school.

Tyla spent his 1st day at his new secondary school today. They had to go in as if it was a normal day there. They were given a free dinner. Tyla seemed to enjoy himself and when asked if he will enjoy going there? he said "Yes of course he will"

Off Work due to injuries.

Today have not gone to work, as me and Panee and are still suffering from our injuries. We went to get x-rays done at the hospital today. We both feel we will benefit from taking the rest of this week off work and then (hopefully) returning to work, on monday, next week.

Car Crash Injuries.

After a very restless night I went into work today. Upon getting there nearly 40 mins late, I phoned the doctor's. I got myself and Panee an appointment to see the Doctor at 10.45am. I left work at 10.20am so as to give me time to get Siam to my mum's house. We then waited nearly hour to see the doctor. We sat and discussed what had happen before the doctor gave us some checks to see where we were hurting. There were some aching pains in my shoulder area and also some tingling and numbness in my left arm. Panee was found to have bruising across her chest and pain in her shoulders neck arm and hip. We were both advised to take some time off work and got for some x-rays to our neck for me, and chest and hip for Panee. Before Panee can have x-ray though we had to get her a pregnancy test done. So a payment from our own pockets was made of £2.99 for the test kit.
So so far we have gone to the doctors and the hospital and paid petrol for this and Panee has lost 2 nights wages after taking 2 nights off work plus a test kit which was unnessarry as it was negative. I have now been late to work by 40 mins due to lack of sleep and taken nearly a day off and possibly a few more to follow.

Car Crash

We were involved in a car accident on saturday afternoon. We were stationary at a set of lights. We were at the front of the queue waiting for the lights to change from red. I was distracted by our daughter crying in the back of the car and glanced round at her and back again at lights. Thinking they had changed I moved forward by about the cars length and then realised that the lights were still on red. Stopped the car and then there was a gap of a few seconds before a minibus hit us from behind, knocking myself and Panee forward in our seats. Our 21 month old daughter was in the back and the car seat seemed to protect her.We were pretty shook up by it and after going to my mum's for a sit down and a coffee went to do some shopping. While shopping we felt some dizziness and headaches coming on.We did then go up to the hospital just to get checked out. We were told to take nurofen and then sent on our way.Yesterday we felt ok a little niggly in the neck. Today though there is some pain and a little stiffness and also some tightness across my chest.

Live8

Some pics of myself during the final moments of watching Live 8 on TV. Stand outs for me were Velvet Revolver who put some excitment into the whole thing, and Robbie Williams who you knew would have no problem stealing the show. U2 and Paul McCartney opening the show were also very good. Sting's set was enjoyable also even though he played the same songs from when he played Live Aid back in 1985. Great singalong to message in a bottle. A Few other mentions for Pink Floyd and The Who, neither of which have ever been favourites but they went on and did their thing and it was good. Madonna was ok, but did nothing really for me.
